The Ondo State NYSC Coordinator, Mr Sunday Aroni, has stressed the importance of the U-Report program for all corps members in Nigeria.
The State Coordinator made this known yesterday, while addressing corps members during the sensitisation on U-Report, at the NYSC zonal office, Oda Road, Akure.
He said the newly introduced U-report would give opportunities to corps members and communities to be part of governance.
While addressing newsmen after the sensitisation, Mr Aroni said that every corps member in the state is expected to register at least 50 persons on the platform.
U-Report is a free Short Message Service (SMS) social monitoring tool for community participation programme initiated by UNICEF to address issues that the populace cares about. The NYSC joined U-Report in the year 2014.
