NYSC DG, Kazaure advices corps members to be security cautious
The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure had adviced corps members against putting themselves in harm’s way during the service year, and to always be security cautious.
He gave the advice today while addressing the 2017 Batch ‘A’ (Stream II) Corps members at the NYSC temporary orientation camp in Gombe State.
Kazaure urged them to shun risky engagements such as attendance of night parties, lone movements and unnecessary journeys.
“If you want to organize party, let it take place in your lodge. Also avoid moving alone; as much as possible move in twos or threes.
“Please, avoid unnecessary journeys. If it becomes necessary for you to travel, ensure that you obtain permission,” he added.
The Director-General enjoined the Corps members to always appreciate and respect the cultures of their host communities, and to avoid indecent dressing.
Kazaure, who urged them to bear with the regimented nature of camp environment, commended them for being well behaved.
Earlier, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Tobias Ibeh, had told the Director-General that the Corps members were disciplined and had been participating actively in camp activities.
