Below are 11 habits which if you imbibe into your daily routine you would be able to attain a particular fitness level and keep it that way.

  1. Exercise daily: A short daily gym routine is better than nothing if you’re really strapped for time or simply exhausted. If you don’t have time to visit the gym but have about 15 minutes before you set out you can do simple exercises before leaving your home.
  2. Mix up your routine. To stay fit you need to mi up your fitness routine yoga one day, interval training the next, and you can do a light jog the following day. If your fitness routine doesn’t bore you then you would be more likely to stick to it.
  3. Focus on how great you feel: Everyone would agree that working out isn’t always fun while you’re doing it, but the endorphin high you get after doing the exercises or the myriad other benefits, like a sound night of sleep at night are important in keeping you fit on the long run.
  4. Don’t wait for an occasion before deciding to get in shape. If you are the type that only rushes to the gym six weeks before you have a tight dress to wear to a function then you might just over do things and feel miserable and down on yourself.
  5. Always eat real food: Don’t live on alcohol or sweets or bread you will be miserable and feel bad, don’t do it. Try your best to do everything in moderation.
  6. Keep drinking to a minimum: Studies suggest a late night drinking can make you sleepy in the days following. So you would need to note that drinking on a weeknight can sap a lot of your energy level for the days that follow especially if you don’t have time to make up for the lost sleep.
  7. Workout at home: Doing workouts at home is a great option for you when you want to be active but don’t want to leave your house.
  8. Exercise when you are sore. You shouldn’t do intense weightlifting by any means when you are sore, but a light jog can help alleviate sore muscles more quickly than sitting on a couch doing nothing all day long.
  9. Focus on how you want to feel rather than looks: Working out regularly leads to increased energy and good vibrations all around you. Focus on what makes you feel good rather than the good looks and you will see positive results quickly.
  10. Get enough sleep: You need to know that the more you work out, the more your body will want to get a good night’s sleep and that is just exactly what you should do.
  11. Remember that the main goal is to do something physical. If you feel like you can’t bear to go to the gym regularly, just set a fitness regime plan to do five minutes of exercise once you get there. Chances are high that once you start, you will end up going for longer.
