ASUP Strike: Students take over Ondo governors office in protest Photos

Students if Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, stormed the office of the State Governor of Ondo State today in large numbers.

This protest action is coming, following the strike action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo. The students converged in their large numbers to protest at the office of the state governor in Alagbaka Akure, the state capital.

The students were calmed by government officials including the Chief Press Secretary, CPS to the governor and the Chief Security Officer, CSO in the governor’s office who assured the students that the governor would speak to them. He said;

“I can say of a truth, he (the governor) is coming but when, I cannot tell.”

The students have threatened to force their way into the premises of the governor’s office should the governor refuse to address them.
